Every Player. Every Family. Every Future.
Practical resources for the entire Union Redhawks Lacrosse program, serving grades K–12 across Tulsa County. From first practices to JV and varsity, we want families to feel welcomed, informed, and supported.
Check youth registration in Sportabase →. If no registration forms are listed, email info@redhawkslacrosse.com for the current next steps. JV and varsity registration details are still being confirmed; contact us for help with those programs.
JV and high-school lacrosse begins December 2026. Youth lacrosse begins February 2027. Team contacts will provide detailed practice and game schedules.
Union Lacrosse uses Stack Team App. Team setup and joining instructions will follow registration. Ask your team contact which channels to use for official notices and urgent updates.
Share your ideas & feedback →. You may submit without providing contact details, or request follow-up. Use this form for general feedback; it is not monitored continuously.
Email info@redhawkslacrosse.com. Include your player’s grade and whether your question concerns youth or high-school lacrosse. For volunteering, contact committees@redhawkslacrosse.com.
For boys’ and girls’ field lacrosse. Confirm your player’s division, game format and position with the team before shopping. These are general age bands, not a list of Redhawks teams or eligibility cutoffs.
6U / 8U: For traditional field play, use the appropriate checklist below. Young age alone does not mean less protection. Ask whether an introductory session uses a different format.
10U: Keep the same core field-player kit. Ask about permitted stick length and game format before cutting a shaft or buying a long pole.
12U / 14U: Recheck fit after growth spurts. Stick choices depend on division and position; moving up does not automatically require a long pole.
JV / varsity: Use the field-player checklist plus current team instructions. Check helmet colors, uniforms and position-specific sticks before buying.
Lacrosse stick appropriate for the division and position.
NOCSAE-compliant lacrosse helmet with face mask and secured chin strap.
Lacrosse shoulder pads with chest protection meeting NOCSAE ND200. Look for the NOCSAE logo and SEI certification mark.
Lacrosse gloves and arm pads.
Mouthguard and protective cup.
Optional: Rib pads. Gear bags, spare sticks and home practice equipment are convenience purchases.
Legal girls’ lacrosse stick. Confirm youth stick-length and pocket rules with the coach.
Protective lacrosse eyewear meeting ASTM F3077, with appropriate certification markings. Ordinary glasses do not replace required lacrosse eyewear.
Mouthguard; confirm any color requirements with the team.
Optional under national field rules: Gloves and approved girls’ headgear. Any headgear used must meet ASTM F3137; integrated eyewear must also meet the eyewear standard. Confirm local requirements before buying.
Girls’ age-group notes: At 8U / 10U, ask about modified stick rules and session format. At 12U / 14U and high school, recheck fit, stick legality and team instructions. The three core field-player items remain the starting point; goalies need a different kit.
Required core gear in both games: Goalie stick, helmet with face mask and secured chin strap, separate throat protector, goalie chest protector meeting NOCSAE ND200, padded gloves and mouthguard. Confirm protective cup/pelvic protection appropriate to the rules in use.
Girls’ goalies: Include required thigh protection; youth rules also require shin guards. Confirm exact lower-body protection requirements for the division. Boys’ goalies: Confirm any division-specific padding requirements. Have the coach check the complete goalie kit before participation; the field-player list alone is insufficient.
Ask first: Confirm division, position, stick length, team colors and what the team supplies. Ask whether loaner gear or equipment assistance is available; availability is not guaranteed.
Fit now: Follow manufacturer sizing and fitting instructions. Avoid oversized protective gear bought to grow into. Recheck fit after growth or hairstyle changes.
Inspect: Check straps, padding, shell and certification labels on new or used gear. Ask about helmet service life, recertification and replacement requirements. Do not use damaged, altered or noncompliant equipment.
Bring it for a check: Ask the coach to review the kit before use, and confirm requirements before cutting a shaft or buying specialized gear.
Practical essentials for everyone: Footwear appropriate to the surface, water and practice clothes. Ask the team about cleats, turf shoes, uniforms and practice pinnies before purchasing.
